How can I automatically transcribe a Teams meeting/call?

Live transcription in Microsoft Teams

During any Teams meeting or 1:1 call, you can start a live transcription of the proceedings. The text appears alongside the meeting/call video or audio in real time, including the speaker’s name (unless they chose to hide it) and a time stamp. 

In terms of privacy, live transcription is similar to recording a meeting. Participants are notified that live transcription is on and have the ability to hide it from their meeting view with just a click. If they choose not be identified, attendees can also turn off speaker attribution in their profile settings.

1. Go to the meeting controls and select More actions  
2. Choose Start transcription

All participants see a notification that the meeting is being transcribed. The transcript appears on the right side of your screen.
