Please note: Connecting a personal device to the on-campus wired network will automatically disable the network port for security reasons.
If you are using a desktop, your machine will most likely be already connected to the wired network. If you are using a laptop and it is not connected to a Universal docking station, you can plug an ethernet cable directly into the network port of the laptop to get connected.
If you have been issued with a laptop by the university, you may also have been provided with a docking station for your desk. Using the docking station is easy. Simply attach the cable from the docking station to your laptop to provide power, and the docking station will connect you to the network.
If you require further assistance with this, please contact the service desk on 01905 85 7500, or you can also log a ticket through the IT self-service portal.
