What access levels do Guest Accounts have?

Guest accounts do not have full access to the University’s systems. For the restrictions see below:

Guest accounts can only be used on the wired network; for wireless access sign onto the Guest@UW network from your device instead.

Guest accounts do not have access to Office products by default. For Office access to be included on a Guest account it needs to be requested when the account is made.

To sign into Guest accounts you will use the prefix UNI\ to change to the correct network for the Guest account e.g. UNI\THOS4_CGU

On creation Guest accounts can be set as ‘filtered‘. This blocks access to undesirable content for under 18s.

IT can only create guest accounts up to 1 month in advance.
