How can I install pre-approved software via Software Center?

Software Center is a useful tool for installing software that has been pre-approved by the University.

To explore what software is available, and install a selected software package, please try the following:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Type in Software Center; the Software Center should then appear as one of the first options in the search results. Select this to open it.

2. In the left-hand menu of Software Center, select Applications.

3. Select the program that you want to install, it will then bring up a page with the software listed above an Install button. Select the Install button; it will then download and install it automatically for you.
