How do I configure my business hours in Software Center?

Software Center is a valuable tool for downloading approved programs and ensuring University-supplied Windows updates are applied to your University-issued machine. Sometimes with software updates, it may want to install it sooner rather than later, which may inconvenience you. The best way to ensure that there is minimal disruption to your working day is to configure your business hours in Software Center.

To do this:

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Type in Software Center; the Software Center should then come up as one of the first options. Select this to open it.
  3. In the left-hand menu of Software Center, select Options.
  4. The first item in the Options page will be Work Information; here you can configure your settings for which hours your typically work. After you have made changes, it will automatically save it.
