What do I do if I cannot get Panopto to work at the start of my session?
If you cannot get Panopto to work at the start of your session, please follow the guide: Panopto Capture Video Recordings
- Adding the Panopto Link:
- Add the Panopto tool link to your Blackboard Learn Ultra course.
- Creating a New Recording:
- Click on the Panopto tool link in your course.
- The Panopto website will open in a new tab.
- Click the green “Create” button and select “Panopto Capture”.
- Recording Settings:
- The online recorder will open in a new tab.
- Allow access to your camera and microphone if prompted.
- Ensure your webcam and audio are working. You should see the video feed and audio waveform.
- Configure your camera by clicking the “Video” button if needed.
- Enable picture-in-picture by hovering over the video and clicking the middle button.
- Select video quality (HD or Ultra HD) by clicking the cog icon at the bottom right.
- Check your audio by ensuring the waveform moves as you speak. If not, select a working microphone by clicking the “Audio” button.
- Sharing Your Screen:
- Click the “Screens and Apps” plus icon at the top right.
- In the popup, select the “Entire Screen” tab and click on the screen panel.
- Enable sharing system audio by activating the switch at the bottom right.
- Click the “Share” button and confirm the screen is being shared.
- Making the Recording:
- Click the round red “Record” button to start recording.
- You will see a five-second countdown. Begin your presentation after the countdown.
- To stop recording, click the “Stop” button.
