Panopto is a lecture capture tool and video hosting platform. We use Panopto to capture video and audio content from the lectern PC and make the recording available within Blackboard for students to view.
To check if a room is capable of lecture capture, please refer to our Panopto Rooms FAQ.
In order to login to Panopto, please use the following steps:
2. Click on the dropdown menu and select ‘Blackboard’.
3. Click the ‘Sign in’ button.
4. Select the ‘Sign in with third-party account’ drop-down menu and click ‘University SSO Login’.
5. Log in with your Staff Email and Password.
6. Once you have signed in, make sure you click ‘Open Panopto Recorder’ when this prompt appears.

If you encounter an issue with Panopto, our troubleshooting guide can be found here. If you are unable to resolve the issue and require additional support, please contact the IT Service Desk 01905 85 7500 and select option 1.
