How do I use Teams in teaching spaces?

Prior to your session, please select PC on the lectern control panel to turn on the projector and login as normal on the lectern PC.

  1. In Teams, select Settings and more (… next to your profile picture)Settingsβš™
  2. Select Devices 🎧
  3. In Devices, select Manage devices to connect or disconnect your audio devices.
  4. In Audio​​​​​​​ > Audio settings πŸ”Š:
    • Select the connected speaker you want to use from the Speaker dropdown menu.
    • Select the connected mic you want to use from the Microphone dropdown menu.
Speaker This is dependent on the hardware in the room, it will be one of the following:

– Crestron 420 (Intel(R) Display Audio)
– VP-440X
– Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Crestron-UC-Soundbar)
MicrophoneThis is dependent on the hardware in the room, it will be one of the following:

– Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (DMP Plus USB)
– Microphone (Xonar SoundCard)
– Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Crestron-UC-Soundbar)
  1. Scroll down to Video settings.
  1. Select the connected camera you want to use from the Camera dropdown menu.
    • There will be two cameras named USB Capture HDMI. The currently selected camera will be marked with a tick πŸ—Έ in the menu.
    • If you do not see video from the ceiling camera (likely a screen preview), please select the unticked USB Capture HDMI.
  1. To test and confirm all is correct, select Make a test call.
    • Follow the instructions from the Test Call Bot and record a short message. The message will play back for you.
    • After that, you’ll get a summary of the test call, and you can go to your device settings to make changes.

Manage Your Displays

To change what shows on the screen(s), press Windows logo key ⊞ + P. Here’s what you can choose:

See your desktop across multiple screens. When you have displays extended, you can move items between the two screens.Extend
