I want to live stream a lecture. How do I do this?

Follow these steps to schedule your live streamed lecture using Microsoft Teams in Blackboard Learn Ultra:

Scheduling the Meeting on Blackboard

  1. Enable Microsoft Teams: Open your course, go to the Details & Actions menu, and select the option to enable Teams.
  2. Sync with Microsoft Teams: Click the Sync with Microsoft Teams button to synchronize your course roster. This may take up to 15 minutes.
  3. Sign in to Microsoft Teams: Use your institutional credentials to sign in and complete the connection.
  4. Create a New Meeting: Select Open Microsoft Teams meetings, then choose New Meeting. Fill in the meeting details and add required attendees from your course.

Joining the Teams Meeting

  1. Join the Teams Meeting: Ensure the room is equipped with the necessary equipment to support your Teams meeting. Refer to the lecture theatres list here.
  2. Manage Audio and Video Settings: Select the correct settings for your use-case. Refer to Using Microsoft Teams in Teaching Spaces.
