How do I set my work location in Microsoft Teams?

Set your daily work location so colleagues can easily see if you’re in the office or working remotely, simplifying meeting coordination. Update Teams whenever your plans change to keep your status current.

Desktop

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams desktop application
  2. Select your profile picture on the top right hand side of the application
  3. Next to your status, choose your work location from the location dropdown menu, which it can be set to either Office or Remote

Mobile

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams app on your Android or Apple device
  2. Select your profile picture on the top left hand side of the application
  3. Next to your status, choose your work location from the location dropdown menu, which it can be set to either Office or Remote
