Please be aware of the following changes to print copy services in the Hive.
Your login credentials will be sent to you to via email. These comprise of both your email adress and password. This email you receive containing these credentials will also include information about how to login and book University accommodation or register for the upcoming academic year.
For some services you’ll be asked for your username when logging in – this is simply the first part of your email address: e.g. for the email address OTHA1_24@uni.worc.ac.uk, OTHA1 is the username.
The first time you login you’ll be prompted to enter your username and password, then register for multifactor authentication. Keep your device to hand for when you login next, you’ll need this for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Not all students will necessarily receive their login credentials at the same time – for example you may receive your credentials as early as January if you’ve expressed an interest in staying in our residences, but may not receive them until late August following A-Level results otherwise – when you receive them depends on your circumstances and whether we’ve seen that you will need access to University services prior to registration.
The first time you login to your University of Worcester student account off-campus, you will be prompted to register for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This provides an extra layer of security on your account.
You will need to register for MFA before you complete your online registration. Please see the guidance below to help you register for this service.
Please note: You will need to keep the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your device in order to access your account off-campus.
Something that isn’t always obvious when changing mobile phones is to remember to keep hold of your old phone for the setup of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your new device, before you dispose of it.If you don’t do this, it will be difficult to maintain access to your University account without support from the IT Service. If you have both devices to hand, swapping over your access as straight forward – please follow the guide here to do this.
If you have disposed of your old phone, you will need to reset your MFA by contacting the IT Service, preferably over the phone as we will need to run through some security checks, so it’s a good idea to also have your staff or student number to hand.
