Getting started with Microsoft Forms

Description: With Microsoft Forms you can create a form, such as a survey or quiz, invite others to respond to it using almost any web browser or mobile device, see real-time results as they’re submitted, use built-in analytics to evaluate responses, and export results to Excel for additional analysis or grading.

This workshop is designed as an entry-level introduction to Microsoft Forms with no prior experience required. The session presents an overview and practical look at using Microsoft Forms via the website and the integrated Microsoft Teams app. You will learn how to use Microsoft Forms to create forms, quizzes, surveys and polls and manage the results. Participants are welcome to ask questions throughout the session.

Participants: This workshop is designed for staff members that are new to Microsoft Forms.

Learning outcomes:

  • Know your responsibilities for storing data safely and in-line with UK and EU legislation
  • Learn about Microsoft Forms and its capabilities
  • Use the Forms web app and the integrated Teams app
  • Create and edit Forms, surveys, polls and quizzes
  • Understand the question and data collection types
  • Control the appearance of your Form
  • Share Forms and collect responses
  • View and analyse results

Equipment: As this session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams it is beneficial to have a camera, audio and microphone/headset available. If you require assistance with equipment setup, please contact the IT Service Desk.
