Generative Artifical Intelligence

ChatGPT and many other AI tools out there are ideal for a range of tasks and we ask staff to explore the use of them to understand what works and what students might be using. But these tools are not work safe – in that they do not necessarily respect GDPR or Privacy. The University does not have an agreement with the cloud provider and we don’t know what will happen to the data.

We will therefore promote Microsoft Co-pilot as it is deemed to be work safe according to our Microsoft agreement it:

That means user and buisness data are protected and will not move outside the organisation
