Once you’ve registered for Multi-Factor Authentication you can reset your password 24/7 without having to contact the IT Service Desk, using Microsoft’s in-built self-service password reset functionality.
You can reset your password from any University PC by selecting the ‘Reset Password’ option from the login screen.
If you use a University laptop off-site you can change your password by going to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ and enter your email address and verify the security information on screen.
You will then be prompted to verify your Multi-Factor Authentication information and set a new password.
Once you have changed your password you will still need to sign into your device using your old password until you connect your laptop to the corporate network using VPN or by going on-campus and connecting the laptop to the corporate network via a wired connection.
You will still need to login to any online services using your new password.
If you use a personal device off-site you can change your password by going to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ and enter your email address and verify the security information on screen.
