What is Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 is the new name for Microsoft’s Office 365 subscription service. It includes everything Office 365 included—and more.

Microsoft 365 empowers users with the latest innovations across new and familiar productivity experiences like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook. Microsoft apps are pre-installed on university devices and can be accessed through the start menu (Windows) or Finder (MacOS).

Microsoft Learning Pathways

The Microsoft Learning Pathways portal gives all University faculty, staff, and students access to official, always up-to-date, Microsoft training content. Navigate through bitesize modules on specific Microsoft 365 products or complete scenario based training.

Microsoft Teams

 Microsoft Teams is part of the Microsoft 365 Application Suite. Teams is where you can instant message and video call students and staff, arrange video meetings, share documents

Some modules have specific MS Teams sites set up for you where you can discuss different topics, your module leader will instruct you on how to join and use these.

OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is an integral part of Microsoft 365, it provides a place in the cloud where University students can store, share and work on files together in real-time. Documents stored in OneDrive are automatically saved and can be restored to previous versions.

Microsoft Forms

With Microsoft Forms you can create a form, such as a survey or quiz, invite others to respond to it using almost any web browser or mobile device, see real-time results as they’re submitted, use built-in analytics to evaluate responses, and export results to Excel for additional analysis or grading.

Access Microsoft Forms

To access Microsoft Forms you’ll need to please visit www.office.com, select Sign In at the top right corner then enter your University of Worcester credentials. Select the All Apps icon from the bottom left corner then choose Forms from the list of available apps.

Microsoft Forms training

Microsoft Stream

Microsoft Stream is a video service used to upload, view, and share videos securely. You can share recordings or other videos with lectures and other students on your courses. You can also share comments on a video, tag timecodes in comments and descriptions to refer to specific points in a video.

How to access

  1. Visit Microsoft 365 and sign in with your University credentials.
  2. If you cannot see Stream listed on the welcome page, select ‘All Apps’ then choose Stream.
