Description
IT Service has a loan system to book various resources available to University staff via the IT Service Desk. These are:
Laptop Loans
University staff can book Windows laptop loan devices for remote working. These laptops are available on a first come first served basis and are limited to 1 device per person. There is no time limit set on how long these devices can be issued for but they are not intended to replace a staff members primary computer.
Jabra Conference Speakers
These devices have loud speakers and high gain microphones along with call functions, making them highly useful to connect to laptops in meetings with an external caller dialling in, so that everyone can hear each other and be heard.
Lapel and roaming microphones
Useful when teaching in larger lectures theatres, these specialist microphones, either handheld so they can be passed to audience members for everyone can hear them, or lapel worn which allows the speaker to walk the room hands free and still be heard. These devices are linked to the specific rooms they are individually configured for.
Recording Rooms
Recording Rooms are bookable rooms not on the main University Timetabling system that are intended for recording teaching content for use with the Panopto System. They are booked in the same manner as equipment via the IT Service Desk and are bookable up to 3 months in advance in blocks of 15 minutes. Consecutive timeslots can be booked together.
