Description
The University uses Microsoft Teams is its approved platform for all online communication and collaboration. The service provides a comprehensive video conferencing service for meetings and an instant messaging suite to facilitate this. It is principally used by University staff for virtual meetings, group chats, project work and communication with colleagues and 3rd parties offsite. It is also a helpful tool for teaching staff to communicate with students for 1 to 1 tutorials and has inbuilt features to record sessions or allow for remote desktop control with the users permission.
In specific sanctioned cases where Teams will not function or cannot achieve an objective, a case for using Zoom may be considered as an authorised alternative.
